The platform lifecycle initiates with vA0, followed by vA1 which integrates Intel Tile technology and updates the Management Engine (ME) firmware. Support for the Intel Core i9-12900KS is established in vA3, while vA4 modifies default Secure Boot parameters to align with security standards. Update vA7 prepares the architecture for next-generation CPUs (13th Gen) and resolves specific compatibility conflicts with Asmedia SATA port devices. Storage capability is further expanded in vAA with native exFAT file system support, alongside iterative memory compatibility improvements and PCIe storage fixes deployed across vA8 through vAB.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Firmware vAE introduces official support for 14th Gen processors and resolves "UNSUPPORTED PROCESSOR" BSOD errors via updated microcode. Intel Application Optimization (APO) is optimized in vAF and subsequently expanded to support 12th and 13th Gen Core processors in vAH. Version vAH also integrates Microcode 0x123 to disable CEP (Current Excursion Protection) on 14th Gen B0 stepping CPUs for performance optimization and stabilizes system behavior when switching to CSM mode. Additionally, vAC enables the MSI Driver Utility Installer for streamlined driver management.

Critical Security & Power Management

Critical mitigation for Vmin Shift Instability begins with vAI1[Beta] and vAI, which integrate Microcode 0x125 to patch eTVB algorithms and resolve security vulnerability CVE-2024-36877. This is followed by vAJ1[Beta] and vAJ, deploying Microcode 0x129 to implement a 1.55V voltage clamp to prevent physical degradation. Version vAK delivers Microcode 0x12B to address the root cause of elevated voltage requests during idle states. Advanced protection against degradation is applied in vAM1[Beta] via Microcode 0x12F. Final updates in vAM resolve fan setting persistence errors and update the ME Firmware to v16.1.38.2676, while vAL corrects DMI UUID loss after CMOS clears.
