Launch Stability & Compatibility

The platform lifecycle began with version vH0, followed quickly by vH2 which resolved "UNSUPPORTED PROCESSOR" BSODs and enabled architecture support for 14th Gen CPUs. Update vH3 optimized Intel Application Optimization (APO) functionality and refined Secure Boot mechanisms, while vH4 improved general memory compatibility and updated the Management Engine firmware. System stability during CSM mode transitions was stabilized in vH5, which also integrated Microcode 0x123 to optimize performance by disabling CEP on B0 stepping processors.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Mid-cycle updates focused on critical thermal and security corrections. Version vH7 implemented Microcode 0x125 to resolve eTVB algorithm errors that allowed processors to boost beyond safe temperature limits, alongside a fix for security vulnerability CVE-2024-36877. To mitigate physical degradation risks, vH8 introduced Microcode 0x129, enforcing a hard voltage clamp at 1.55V. This was followed by vH9, which deployed Microcode 0x12B to address the root cause of Vmin Shift Instability by preventing elevated voltage requests during idle states.

Critical Security & Power Management

The firmware reached maturity with advanced protection mechanisms and bug fixes. Version vHA resolved issues with DMI UUID loss after clearing CMOS. Subsequent updates vHB1[Beta] and the final vHB integrated Microcode 0x12F, providing advanced mitigation for Vmin Shift Instability to address edge-case voltage drifts. The latest update, vHC, fixed persistence errors where fan settings would revert upon exiting without saving and updated the ME Firmware to v16.1.38.2676.
