The initial firmware release, vA0, establishes baseline system functionality with targeted fixes for Asmedia SATA port compatibility. Subsequent updates focus on memory training and storage interoperability, with vA1 fine-tuning DDR4 signal integrity and vA6 improving PCIe storage device detection. Version vA8 introduces exFAT file system support within the BIOS interface, while vA9 refines Secure Boot mechanisms and updates M-Flash hotkey logic. Compatibility with SATA peripherals is further stabilized in vAA, which also integrates the MSI Driver Utility Installer for streamlined driver deployment.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Support for 14th Gen processors is formalized in vAC, which updates the CPU microcode to resolve "UNSUPPORTED PROCESSOR" BSOD errors during boot. Version vAD optimizes Intel Application Optimization (APO) functionality and adjusts automatic overclocking rules. Firmware vAF updates the codebase to improve stability when switching to CSM mode and integrates Microcode 0x123, which disables CEP (Current Excursion Protection) on 14th Gen B0 stepping CPUs to optimize performance. Management Engine (ME) firmware policies are enforced in vAG to ensure synchronization with the main BIOS.

Critical Security & Power Management

To address thermal and voltage vulnerabilities, vAH implements Microcode 0x125 to correct eTVB algorithms and patches CVE-2024-36877. The mitigation of Vmin Shift Instability begins with vAI2[Beta] and vAI, which integrate Microcode 0x129 to enforce a 1.55V voltage clamp. This is followed by vAJ, incorporating Microcode 0x12B to address the root cause of elevated voltage requests during idle states. Advanced protection against voltage drift is deployed in vAL1[Beta] and vAL via Microcode 0x12F. Finally, vAM resolves DMI UUID data loss issues and corrects fan curve persistence errors upon exiting the BIOS without saving.
