The platform launched with firmware v1A1, establishing baseline operations for the B850 chipset. Updates v1A11 and v1A14 integrated AGESA 1.2.0.3a Patch A, which enables support for Ryzen 9 9000X3D (9950X3D/9900X3D) processors and includes cache hierarchy optimizations. These versions also refined memory training algorithms, specifically optimizing single-rank modules in 2DPC configurations and dual-rank modules in 1DPC setups. Version v1A2 resolved post-launch errata, fixing incorrect CPU information reporting and erroneous DRAM messages displayed during the POST phase.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Updates v1A22 and v1A3 transitioned the firmware to AGESA 1.2.0.3c, which improves high-density memory compatibility to allow stable operation of 4x DIMM configurations. Versions v1A33 and v1A41 (AGESA 1.2.0.3e) expanded memory support to include 64GBx2 DRAM modules and optimized Samsung 1.25V low-power chips for 256GB total system capacity. Hardware support continued to evolve with v1A46 (AGESA 1.2.0.3g), which improved compatibility for Ryzen 8000 series CPUs. Finally, v1A4D introduced AGESA pre-1.3.0.0, providing preliminary support for the next major AM5 architecture revision and memory training overhauls.

Critical Security & Power Management

Versions v1A33 and v1A41 implemented AGESA 1.2.0.3e, which patches the TPM Out-of-Bounds Read vulnerability (CVE-2025-2884) and refines voltage safety limits for X3D processors. Stability fixes were applied in v1A40 to resolve system freezes occurring during M-FLASH operations when using specific memory kits. Version v1A42 (AGESA 1.2.0.3f) introduced additional security mitigations, while v1A44 optimized the Secure Erase mechanism to ensure reliable storage maintenance.
