Initial firmware releases established the platform baseline, with version vH2 enabling support for the Intel Core i9-12900KS processor. Subsequent updates focused on peripheral stability, as vH1 improved MFlash and GO2BIOS functionality, while vH7 resolved compatibility issues with Asmedia SATA devices and prepared the codebase for next-generation CPUs. Storage and boot protocols were refined in vHA, which introduced exFAT file system support, and vH3, which adjusted default Secure Boot configurations to align with Windows 11 deployment requirements.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Mid-cycle updates concentrated on expanding processor support and optimizing architecture. Version vHE enabled Intel 14th Gen Core processors and patched a critical UNSUPPORTED PROCESSOR BSOD error. Performance tuning for these processors arrived in vHF, which optimized Intel Application Optimization (APO) functionality, and vHH, which integrated Microcode 0x123 to disable CEP (Current Excursion Protection) on 14th Gen B0 stepping CPUs for improved performance. Memory compatibility was iteratively enhanced across versions vH8 through vHG, ensuring stability with high-speed DDR4 modules.

Critical Security & Power Management

Recent firmware prioritizes mitigation of voltage-related degradation and security vulnerabilities. Version vHI patched security vulnerability CVE-2024-36877, while vHJ1[Beta] introduced Microcode 0x129 to implement a 1.55V voltage clamp. The critical Vmin Shift Instability issue was addressed in vHK via Microcode 0x12B, which resolves root-cause voltage elevation during idle states. Further protection is provided in vHN1[Beta] with Microcode 0x12F, offering advanced mitigation against edge-case voltage drifts. Finally, vHN updates the ME Firmware to 16.1.38.2676 and corrects non-volatile memory retention issues regarding fan settings.
