The firmware lifecycle initiates with version F1, rapidly advancing to version F2 which integrates Intel MR1 components and Microcode 0x116 to improve voltage regulation and reliability for non-K Core Ultra SKUs. System architecture is further stabilized in version F4h, which incorporates Intel MR3 and Microcode 0x118 to support advanced boost algorithms. Security protocols are significantly hardened in version F4 by enabling Pre-boot DMA Protection, VT-d, and IOMMU by default to mitigate direct memory access attacks.
