The firmware lifecycle begins with vF2, establishing initial platform stability. Version vF4 optimizes VRM load line calibration for improved thermal performance and introduces Legacy Game Compatibility Mode to resolve DRM issues on early E-core architectures. Support extends to the Intel Core i9-12900KS in vF6, while vF20 enables full compatibility for 13th Gen processors and stabilizes PCIe Gen5 signaling. Version vF21 refines the architecture by synchronizing Resizable BAR with 4G decoding logic and introducing the Instant 6GHz profile for i9-13900K and i7-13700K SKUs.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Update vF23 expands memory controller capabilities to support non-binary 24GB and 48GB DDR5 modules and resolves blank display issues with RTX 3060 series GPUs. Security hardening in vF24 addresses vulnerabilities identified by Eclypsium Research, followed by vF27 which integrates Microcode 0x11D. Version vF29 is a critical security update that mitigates LogoFAIL UEFI vulnerabilities and introduces controls for the Gaussian & Neural Accelerator (GNA) and SPD Write Disable features.

Critical Security & Power Management

Version vF30 enforces Intel Default Settings and integrates Microcode 0x12B to resolve the root cause of Vmin Shift Instability by addressing elevated voltage requests. Updates vF31d and vF31 further stabilize the platform by implementing Microcode 0x12F to mitigate edge-case voltage drifts and Microcode 0x3a to address security advisories INTEL-SA-01153, INTEL-SA-01224, and INTEL-SA-01247. The roadmap concludes with vF32, which enables Pre-boot DMA Protection and VT-d by default for enhanced security, updates the CSME to 16.1.38.2676v4.1, and adds support for Intel 120/120F processors.
