Launch Stability & Compatibility

The platform launched with AGESA 1.0.0.3 in version F1, quickly followed by update F2 (AGESA 1.0.0.3 ABB) which resolved RDRAND instruction errors to fix Destiny 2 crashes and improved XMP DDR compatibility. Version F10 integrated AGESA 1.0.0.4 B to accelerate system boot times, improve RAID function compatibility, and enable support for Raven Ridge APUs (Ryzen 2400G/2200G). Firmware F20 transitioned to the ComboV2 codebase (AGESA 1.0.0.2) to support Ryzen XT processors and patched SMM Callout Privilege Escalation vulnerabilities.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Support for Ryzen 5000 series processors arrived in version F30 via AGESA 1.0.8.1. Subsequent update F32 (AGESA 1.1.0.0 D) introduced Resizable BAR support for AMD Smart Access Memory and optimized performance for Vermeer CPUs. Connectivity stability saw significant improvements in versions F33g and F34 (AGESA 1.2.0.2), which mitigated intermittent USB 2.0 dropouts. Hardware support expanded further in F35 (AGESA 1.2.0.3 B) for Ryzen 5000 G-Series APUs, while version F37a (AGESA 1.2.0.6 B) officially enabled the Ryzen 7 5800X3D with L3 V-Cache optimizations. Finally, version F37 (AGESA 1.2.0.7) resolved system-wide fTPM Stuttering issues affecting Windows 10/11.

Critical Security & Power Management

Security architecture was hardened in version F36 (AGESA 1.2.0.5), which implemented Capsule BIOS protection to prevent unauthorized downgrades and enabled fTPM by default for Windows 11 compliance. Version F39 (AGESA 1.2.0.B) addressed the Inception side-channel vulnerability and patched LogoFAIL UEFI exploits. High-severity mitigations continued in F40d (AGESA 1.2.0.Cc), which resolved the Sinkclose SMM Lock Bypass vulnerability. Recent updates focus on cryptographic integrity, with F40g (AGESA 1.2.0.E) fixing CVE-2024-36347, and the final F40 release (AGESA 1.2.0.F) patching a critical TPM 2.0 out-of-bounds read vulnerability (CVE-2025-2884).
