The platform launched with version vF3 on AGESA 1.0.0.3, establishing initial support for Matisse, Pinnacle, and Picasso architectures. Update vF4 integrates AGESA 1.0.0.3 ABB to patch the RDRAND instruction bug affecting Destiny 2 and resolves SATA hot plug instability. Version vF10 updates to AGESA 1.0.0.4 B, optimizing system boot times and adding support for Raven Ridge APUs (Ryzen 2400G/2200G). The transition to the ComboV2 codebase occurred in vF20 (AGESA 1.0.0.2), which enables Ryzen XT processors and mitigates SMM Callout Privilege Escalation vulnerabilities.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Support for Ryzen 5000 series processors was introduced in vF30 via AGESA 1.0.8.1. Version vF32 (AGESA 1.1.0.0 D) enables Resizable BAR for compatible GPUs and addresses USB 2.0 connectivity dropouts, a stability issue further refined in vF33g and vF34 (AGESA 1.2.0.2). Ryzen 5000 G-Series support was added in vF35 via AGESA 1.2.0.3 B. Critical system latency issues were resolved in vF37 (AGESA 1.2.0.7), which eliminates fTPM-induced stuttering in Windows environments.

Critical Security & Power Management

Version vF36 introduces Capsule BIOS architecture to prevent unauthorized downgrades and enables fTPM by default for Windows 11 compliance. Security hardening continued in vF39 (AGESA 1.2.0.B), which mitigates the Inception vulnerability and patches LogoFAIL. Version vF40d integrates AGESA 1.2.0.Cc to patch the high-severity Sinkclose (SMM Lock Bypass) exploit. Recent updates vF40g and vF40 (AGESA 1.2.0.F) address specific CVEs, including CVE-2024-36347 and the TPM 2.0 out-of-bounds read vulnerability (CVE-2025-2884).
