System architecture was significantly hardened in vF2, which introduces Capsule BIOS protection to prevent unauthorized firmware downgrades and defaults AMD PSP fTPM to "Enabled" for Windows 11 readiness. This update also integrates AGESA 1.2.0.5 and mitigates critical vulnerabilities identified by SentinelOne researchers.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Hardware support expanded in vF3a with the integration of AGESA 1.2.0.6 B, enabling the Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor and restoring the Max CPU Boost Clock Override option for Vermeer CPUs. Stability was further refined in vF3, which updates to AGESA 1.2.0.7 to resolve fTPM-related stuttering issues affecting Windows performance. Version vF4 advances the codebase to AGESA 1.2.0.8, optimizing performance for the 5800X3D—enabling native Curve Optimizer support—and patching download assistant vulnerabilities reported by Eclypsium Research.

Critical Security & Power Management

Later updates prioritize mitigating speculative execution and SMM attacks. Version vF6 implements AGESA 1.2.0.B to address the Inception vulnerability and patches LogoFAIL UEFI exploits. Security is further tightened in vF7d with AGESA 1.2.0.Cc, which resolves the high-severity Sinkclose SMM lock bypass. The lifecycle concludes with vF7g and the final vF7 release, updating to AGESA 1.2.0.E and 1.2.0.F respectively to fix microcode signature verification flaws (CVE-2024-36347) and TPM 2.0 out-of-bounds read vulnerabilities (CVE-2025-2884).
