Launch Stability & Compatibility

The platform launched with vF5, utilizing Microcode 0x114 to resolve Processor Power Management (PPM) logic issues and mitigate frame-time spikes in gaming workloads. Update vF7b[Beta] introduced AORUS AI SNATCH for intelligent XMP boosting and enabled a user-selectable MCU toggle between Microcode 0x113 (optimizing Energy Performance Preference) and 0x114. System stability was further solidified in vF7, which implemented Intel MR1 ingredients and Microcode 0x117 to enhance signal integrity for high-speed CUDIMM DDR5 memory and enable DLRM state power savings.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Performance tuning accelerated with the vF8 series (vF8c, vF8d), which leveraged Microcode 0x118 (MR3) to stabilize the platform for Ultra Turbo Mode and Intel 200S Boost performance profiles. Hardware compatibility expanded in vF8f and the final vF8 release, adding support for V-Color OLED modules and V-COLOR XFinity+ memory, alongside enablement for AI TOP Utility v4.1.1. These updates also finalized the integration of Intel's Resource Priority Feature to optimize workload allocation across the architecture.

Critical Security & Power Management

Security architecture was hardened in vF8, which enabled Pre-boot DMA Protection, VT-d, and IOMMU by default to prevent direct memory access attacks during initialization. The latest update, vF9, integrates Microcode 0x11B to officially support upcoming Core Ultra 2-series refresh processors and finalizes 200S Boost definitions. Additionally, vF9 enforces Secure Boot as the system default and updates the CSME to v19.0.5.2018v2.2 to address platform vulnerabilities.
