Launch Stability & Compatibility

The B550 platform launched with firmware vF1 (AGESA 1.0.0.1). Update vF2 integrated AGESA 1.0.0.2 to support Ryzen XT processors and patched SMM Callout Privilege Escalation vulnerabilities. Support for the Ryzen 5000 series was established in vF10 via AGESA 1.0.8.1. Version vF12 (AGESA 1.1.0.0 D) enabled Re-Size BAR support and initiated stability improvements for USB 2.0 hub connections, addressing early platform connectivity issues.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

USB 2.0 connectivity dropouts were further mitigated in vF13h and vF13j (AGESA 1.2.0.2). vF13 finalized support for Ryzen 5000 G-Series APUs. Update vF15a integrated AGESA 1.2.0.6b to officially support the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and restored the Max CPU Boost Clock Override option. Version vF15 (AGESA 1.2.0.7) resolved critical fTPM Stuttering issues in Windows caused by TPM key validation latency.

Critical Security & Power Management

Version vF14 introduced the Capsule BIOS architecture and enabled fTPM by default for Windows 11 compliance. Security update vF17 (AGESA 1.2.0.B) mitigated the Inception side-channel vulnerability and LogoFAIL image parsing exploits. vF18d (AGESA 1.2.0.Cc) patched the high-severity Sinkclose SMM Lock Bypass. The lifecycle concluded with vF18g through vF18 (AGESA 1.2.0.F), which addressed microcode signature verification (CVE-2024-36347) and TPM out-of-bounds read vulnerabilities (CVE-2025-2884).
