Launch Stability & Compatibility

Initial firmware v0306 established baseline platform functionality, quickly followed by critical safety updates in v1616 which integrated AGESA 1.0.0.7a to limit SoC voltage to 1.3V, preventing thermal damage on Ryzen 7000X3D processors. This update also enabled support for non-binary 24GB and 48GB DDR5 modules. Subsequent memory training optimizations in v1654 (AGESA 1.0.0.7c) improved high-speed signal integrity for Samsung-based kits. Early security hardening arrived in v1807 (AGESA 1.0.8.0), mitigating the Inception speculative side-channel vulnerability while preparing infrastructure for Ryzen 8000G APUs. Version 2413 further refined performance by disabling STAPM on Ryzen 8000 processors to prevent aggressive throttling.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Platform capabilities expanded significantly with v2613 (AGESA 1.1.7.0), enabling support for Ryzen 9000 Granite Ridge processors. Performance tuning features were introduced in v3014 (AGESA 1.2.0.0a) via Curve Shaper for temperature-dependent undervolting, and v3035 exposed the cTDP 105W mode for higher thermal headroom. Gaming latency was addressed in v3056 (AGESA 1.2.0.2a) through the introduction of Turbo Game Mode, which optimizes CCD parking logic. Further hardware enablement occurred in v3222, adding support for Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D processors alongside AI Cache Boost logic. Additionally, v3208 enabled AEMP support for speeds up to 6600MT/s on 2-DIMM configurations.

Critical Security & Power Management

Security remains a priority with v2214 (AGESA 1.1.0.1) patching the LogoFAIL vulnerability in the DXE phase. The high-severity Sinkclose SMM lock bypass was resolved in v3035 (AGESA 1.2.0.1a), preventing ring -2 privilege escalation. Later firmware v3201 (AGESA 1.2.0.3) addressed PeCoffLoader memory overflows and AMD Microcode Signature Verification flaws. Memory stability for high-density configurations utilizing all four DIMM slots was stabilized in v3257 (AGESA 1.2.0.3d). Finally, v3602 integrates AGESA 1.2.7.0 to support next-generation 2026 architectures; note that this update and v3263 enforce anti-rollback security policies preventing reversion to older firmware.
