Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Performance tuning focused heavily on power management and thermal algorithms. Version 2002 integrated Microcode 0x123, allowing the disablement of IA CEP (Current Excursion Protection) to optimize performance on non-K series processors. To address stability concerns, v2202 introduced the Intel Baseline Profile, which was later refined in v2301 to implement Intel Default Settings (Performance/Extreme profiles) as the factory standard.
