The B860 platform launch is stabilized by version 0606, which integrates Microcode 0x114 to correct Processor Power Management (PPM) logic, resolving frame-time spikes and latency issues in gaming workloads. This update also enables Wi-Fi 7 (320MHz) support and introduces IDI Data Transfer Mode to optimize integrated graphics data handling. System power management is further refined in v0802, which updates the Silicon Initialization Code to v0D.00.CC.50 and implements SA-PCIe L1 Substates for improved link power efficiency. Memory compatibility for high-density configurations is addressed in v0805, which validates support for 256GB arrays at 5600MT/s and enables AEMP III for Kingston 6400MT/s CUDIMM modules.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Mid-cycle firmware updates focus on maximizing memory throughput and storage efficiency. Version 1001 extends AEMP III capabilities to support 2-DIMM configurations at speeds up to 7000MT/s. Following this, v1203 and v1204 implement Microcode 0x117, which enhances signal integrity for high-speed CUDIMM DDR5 memory and activates the DLRM state to reduce storage device power consumption during D3 idle cycles.
