Initial firmware v0412 established the platform baseline, subsequently refined by v1654 which integrated AGESA 1.0.0.7c to significantly improve DDR5 memory training and compatibility for high-speed modules. Support for Ryzen 8000G APUs was prepared in v1807 via AGESA 1.0.8.0, which also mitigated the Inception speculative side-channel vulnerability. Version v2214 further hardened the boot process by updating to AGESA 1.1.0.1, patching the critical LogoFAIL exploit and enabling support for graphics cards with M.2 storage. Additionally, v2413 disabled STAPM on Ryzen 8000 processors to resolve performance throttling issues.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Support for Ryzen 9000 'Granite Ridge' processors was enabled in v2613 via AGESA 1.1.7.0. Subsequent updates focused on Zen 5 architecture optimization: v3014 introduced Curve Shaper (AGESA 1.2.0.0a) to allow distinct undervolting strategies, while v3042 (AGESA 1.2.0.2) resolved high inter-core latency and enabled the 105W cTDP option. Gaming performance was targeted in v3056 with the introduction of Turbo Game Mode via AGESA 1.2.0.2a. Memory capabilities were expanded in v3208 to support 6600MT/s speeds via AEMP, and v3222 added support for Ryzen 9 9950X3D/9900X3D processors alongside AI Cache Boost logic.

Critical Security & Power Management

Security hardening is a primary focus of recent releases, with v3033 (AGESA 1.2.0.1a) patching the high-severity Sinkclose SMM Lock Bypass vulnerability. Version v3067 (AGESA 1.2.0.2b) addressed critical SMM flaws and fan control logic, while v3201 fixed a PeCoffLoader memory overflow issue. Critical rollback-prevention mechanisms were implemented in v3263 (AGESA 1.2.0.3e) to secure the TPM against out-of-bounds read vulnerabilities. The latest update, v3602, integrates AGESA 1.2.7.0 to update the PSP firmware for next-generation 2026 processors, enforcing a strict anti-rollback policy to maintain system integrity.
