Launch Stability & Compatibility

The firmware lifecycle begins with v2.01, establishing the initial platform baseline. Version 3.03 stabilizes PCIe Gen5 device compatibility and updates the Management Engine to improve early system interoperability. Power management features are introduced in v4.03, which adds options to load Intel Base Power Limit settings and optimizes performance specifically for the i9-12900K. Support expands significantly in v8.03, enabling compatibility with Intel 13th Gen processors, while v6.01 updates the ASRock Network module and integrates function support for Intel XTU to facilitate OS-level tuning.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Hardware support matures in v13.04, which prepares the platform for 14th Gen processors and enables high-density 48GB and 24GB DDR5 memory modules. This update also resolves HDMI cable compatibility issues and updates the GOP driver. Critical microcode updates address Raptor Lake instability: v19.01[Beta] integrates Microcode 0x125 to correct the eTVB algorithm, preventing boosts above safe temperature thresholds. This is followed by v19.02, which applies Microcode 0x129 to implement a voltage clamp. Finally, v20.01 updates to Microcode 0x12B to address the root cause of Vmin Shift Instability, with v20.02 deploying Microcode 0x12F for advanced mitigation against voltage drift.
