Launch Stability & Compatibility

The platform launched with firmware v3.05, quickly followed by update v3.06 which integrates AGESA 1.2.0.0a to enable Curve Shaper support for Zen 5 processors, allowing for distinct undervolt curves based on thermal and frequency states. Version v3.08 updates the firmware to AGESA 1.2.0.2, which optimizes core-to-core communication to resolve high inter-core latency on Ryzen 9000 series CPUs and introduces a configurable 105W TDP mode. Compatibility was further refined in v3.16, which optimizes support for Phoenix architecture processors, while v3.20 addresses specific boot failures affecting a minority of AMD 9000 series CPUs.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Firmware v3.10 updates the codebase to AGESA 1.2.0.2a, optimizing thread scheduling and CCD parking logic for next-generation X3D processors and improving PMIC compatibility. Specialized overclocking support for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and a dedicated Gaming Mode were introduced in v3.12.AS02[Beta]. Support for high-end Ryzen 9 9000X3D series processors is established in v3.18.AS01[Beta] via AGESA 1.2.0.3a, which also includes cache hierarchy optimizations. Later updates like v4.03 integrate AGESA 1.2.7.1 to enable support for next-generation 2026 processors and add unique hardware support for v-color memory OLED displays.

Critical Security & Power Management

Update v3.15 implements AGESA 1.2.0.2b to patch critical SMM vulnerabilities (AMD-SB-7027) and improve sleep state stability. Security hardening continues in v3.30, which updates to AGESA 1.2.0.3e to mitigate the TPM Out-of-Bounds Read vulnerability (CVE-2025-2884) and refine voltage safety limits. Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) settings are optimized in v3.25 alongside AGESA 1.2.0.3d, while subsequent releases v3.40 and v3.50 (AGESA 1.2.0.3f/g) focus on general system stability and memory compatibility improvements.
