This update also fixes the Auto Driver Installer function, updates the Intel Management Engine (ME), and optimizes early memory training algorithms to enhance DRAM compatibility.

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Mid-cycle updates focus on architectural optimization and memory performance. Version v1.15.AS01[Beta] introduces Microcode 0x116, which improves voltage regulation and reliability specifically for non-K Core Ultra SKUs. Following this, v1.16 implements Microcode 0x117 to enhance signal integrity for high-speed CUDIMM DDR5 memory and enables the DLRM state for storage power savings. Later firmware revisions prioritize platform hardening and future hardware readiness. Versions v1.21 and v1.22 integrate Intel Maintenance Release 4 (MR4) alongside Microcode 0x11A and ME version 19.0.5.2018. Version v1.22 explicitly enforces security protocols by enabling Pre-boot DMA Protection, VT-d, and IOMMU options to mitigate direct memory access attacks.
