Initial firmware development focused on stabilizing the AM5 platform and ensuring voltage safety for Ryzen 7000 series processors. Version 1.24 integrates AGESA 1.0.0.7a, a critical safety patch that hard-locks the SoC voltage to 1.3V to prevent thermal damage on Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs. Memory compatibility was significantly expanded in v1.24.AS02 to support non-binary 24GB and 48GB high-density DDR5 modules. Early optimization for gaming workloads on X3D processors was implemented in v1.21 (AGESA 1.0.0.6), while v1.29.AS01[Beta] utilized AGESA 1.0.0.7c to improve signal integrity for high-speed memory kits (6400MT/s+).

Feature Maturity & Hardware Support

Support for Ryzen 8000G 'Hawk Point' APUs and the dedicated XDNA NPU was established in v2.01 (AGESA 1.1.0.0). The transition to Ryzen 9000 'Granite Ridge' architecture began with v3.01 (AGESA 1.1.7.0). Performance tuning for Zen 5 is central to v3.06, which updates to AGESA 1.2.0.0a to enable Curve Shaper, allowing distinct undervolt curves for different thermal states. Version 3.08 (AGESA 1.2.0.2) addresses high inter-core latency on Ryzen 9000 processors and adds a 105W TDP option. Furthermore, v3.10 (AGESA 1.2.0.2a) optimizes thread scheduling, and v3.12.AS02[Beta] introduces specific overclocking support for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D alongside a dedicated 'Gaming Mode'.

Critical Security & Power Management

Firmware security is hardened in v2.06.AS03[Beta] (AGESA 1.1.0.2), which patches the LogoFAIL vulnerability to prevent malicious boot logo execution. Version 3.30 updates the codebase to AGESA 1.2.0.3e, mitigating the TPM Out-of-Bounds Read vulnerability (CVE-2025-2884) and refining voltage limits. Boot stability for Ryzen 9000 series CPUs is improved in v3.20[Beta]. Long-term platform viability is addressed in v4.03, which integrates AGESA 1.2.7.1 to update the PSP firmware and prepare USB architecture for next-generation 2026 processors.
